t is said that quality will always prevail in the end, and that has certainly been
the case for Côte d’Ivoire's impressive array of stars at this year’s Africa Cup
of Nations in Equatorial Guinea. In their quarter-final against tournament
favourites Algeria – the strongest of the African sides at last summer’s World
Cup – Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony scored two headers while new
club team-mate and four-time African Footballer of the Year Yaya Toure added
another from a free-kick. The reward for this display was a semi-final against

Confederation of African Football: December 18, 2014 - In a hotly-contested match on Friday, 12 December 2014, that attracted tens of thousands of fans from various destinations across the country, Jeenyo United beat rivals Banadir Sports Club 5-4 in penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

Somali Football Federation president Abdiqani Said Arab who addressed at the closing ceremony of the 2014 Super Cup match thanked sponsors, Hormuud Telecom for taking the decision to encourage football promotion in the country.

Serbia’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Albania was abandoned on Tuesday evening after a drone flown over the Partizan Stadium pitch carrying the Albanian flag led to a clash between the two sets of players.
